The Small Church Ministry
The purpose of the Small Church Ministry is to help pastors and members of small churches discover the will of the Lord and then accomplish the work He has for them to do.
The biblical mandate for the Small Church Ministry is found in Zechariah 4:10; "Do not depise the small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin." (NLT)
The vision of the Small Church Ministry is to provide assistance to fifty small churches each year.
The funding for the Small Church Ministry is provided by the Lord through individuals, churches and organizations that believe that many small churches need professionsal outside assistance. For tax purposes, checks should be out to the Southern Baptist School and designated to Small Church Ministry.
By definition, a small church is any church in which everyone knows, or knows about, everyone else.
The desired outcome of the efforts of the Small Church Ministry is that small churches will become strong churches.
